BioBlitz!—BioBlitz is our annual community science event where families and experts collaborate to explore, discover, and document the biodiversity of Odiorne Point State Park. BioBlitz offers opportunities for all ages to hone their skills as naturalists in the areas that interest them the most.

Marine Science Fellowship—This semester-long marine science program for high school students offers an introduction to marine biology, hands-on field investigations, and scientific inquiry skills. Students also connect with local scientists, conservationists, and marine science professionals. Sold for 2026.

Wildlife Kayak Tours—Attendees kayak scenic routes filled with wildlife, history, and beautiful coastal views. Our expert guides point out shorebirds, seals, fish, crustaceans, and seaweeds and educate attendees on how to protect local ecosystems, observe wildlife from a distance, and leave no trace.

World Ocean Day—World Ocean Day is a global celebration to honor the one shared ocean that connects us all. SSC’s World Ocean Day celebration supports our mission to inspire the conservation of our natural world Blue Planet through hands-on games, educational activities, naturalist-led tide pooling sessions, and on-site food trucks. Sold for 2026.

Big Fish Little Fish–Every Thursday from mid-September through mid-April, SSC hosts special hands-on activities and programs for children ages 0 through 5 to learn about the natural world around them. These group programs and unique activity stations engage children in fine and gross motor skills, sensory exploration, literacy, math, and creativity based on bimonthly themes.

Isle of Shoals Excursions–SSC naturalists orient ticket holders to the Gulf of Maine, local marine ecology, and wildlife sightings on the Shining Star, a brand-new custom Mussel Ridge 46, out to the Isles of Shoals. Once on Star Island, guests tide pool and explore the intertidal zone, fascinating animals, and seaweeds. After tide pooling, attendees spend time exploring the island, before getting back aboard the Shining Star for the boat ride home.

Onsite and Offsite School Programs–Support the heart of our mission—year-round hands-on marine science and nature programming for learners of all ages. From school group tide pool investigations to off-site Coastal Critters outreach, bring live tide pool animals directly to classrooms for up-close, hands-on experiences, your sponsorship helps spark curiosity and build coastal and ocean literacy across our community. Sold for 2026.

Exhibits & Animal Care Program–Bring the Gulf of Maine to life! Your support sustains our immersive exhibits, live marine animal habitats, and top-tier aquarist team. From daily feedings and tank maintenance to designing new, interactive displays that inspire action, you’ll help create unforgettable ocean experiences grounded in science and stewardship.

Music by the Sea Primary Sponsor–In July, Our Thursday evening summer concert series brings some of New England’s favorite bands to the stage under our seaside tent. Music by the Sea (MBS) is SSC’s largest fundraiser of the year, and ticket holders enjoy so much more than music! They bring lawn chairs and blankets, pack a picnic or purchase food onsite from our vendors, and SSC’s famous adult beverage garden offers both beer and wine. Sold for 2026.

Volunteer Program–One of our most visible programs at Seacoast Science Center. Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring that each visitor has a meaningful and enjoyable experience. In 2025, 2,087 year-round and special project volunteers gave SSC over 16,500 hours of their time–that equates to 7 full-time staff members!
