On-Site Field Trips

Choose a guided or self-guided program that best aligns with your classroom learning goals, then wrap up your visit inside SSC where you can experience even more hands-on learning with our live animals and interpretive exhibits.

Can’t come to us? Our Virtual Field Trip programs will never leave you adrift! All options are live, naturalist-led programs, delivered to your classroom via a secure Zoom connection with our content partner Streamable Learning.
Teacher Training Workshops
Throughout the year, Seacoast Science Center, often in partnership with other institutions, offers professional learning opportunities for teachers. Come learn, contribute, and connect with other educators from the region while gaining valuable knowledge and curriculum for your classroom!

Teacher Learning Connection
We’ve created a digital Choice Board resource to help teachers engage students in ways that are most meaningful to them. Activities and assessments are available free of charge, appeal to different learning styles, and are able to be completed from a student’s home.
Rocky Shore Curriculum
The Rocky Shore Marine Science Curriculum: An Ecosystem Unit for Elementary Educators is a free and valuable resource. This science unit is a 7-week, 24-lesson classroom curriculum aligned to both the Next Generation Science Standards and the Ocean Literacy Principles.
DIY Odiorne Point State Park Adventures
Embark on a Do-it-Yourself Odiorne Point State Park Adventure using one of the digital guide sheets created by SSC. With its fascinating history, unique biodiversity, and seven distinct habitats, there are countless opportunities to learn and explore in the Park!
