The Edge of the Sea
Roll up your sleeves and get your hands wet! This interactive experience includes three completely unique saltwater tanks and is home to a variety intertidal animals and seaweeds. Here, you can hold fascinating creatures, like sea stars and urchins, and even select organisms to view under our high-powered microscope! This is a fun and multi-sensory experience for all ages!

Marine Mammals of the Gulf of Maine
Step into the world of the gentle giants of the sea and learn about the ecology of humpback whales through Tofu’s story, a juvenile humpback who met her demise in the Gulf of Maine. Tofu’s 32’ skeleton hangs above interactive stations that teach about whale evolution, whale behaviors, threats to whales and other cetaceans, and what we are doing to help protect these iconic species.

Restoring Reefs
Restoring Reefs will immerse you in the beauty of colorful tropical reef habitats and help you understand how reefs, both near and far, are important living systems in need of protection. See if you can identify the fish and corals, learn why reefs are in danger and how you can help, and keep your eye out for our honeycomb moray eel, who likes to stay out of the limelight, but steals the show!
