About Camp Care

Each day, SSC Camp Care will explore a different topic in natural sciences while integrating math, engineering, reading, writing, art and music, to add richness and age-appropriate academic rigor to the science content. Most activities will take place outdoors in the fields, forest, and tide pools of Odiorne Point State Park.

Mornings will be dedicated to lessons in environmental education, featuring nature’s remarkable classroom just outside the doors of Seacoast Science Center. Afternoons will be closely supervised, but somewhat less structured. Children will have time available for school work, park exploration, and outdoor games.

Children will be grouped by grade: K-1-2 and 3-4-5, with a maximum of 12 students in each group.

Tutoring with a licensed elementary school teacher is available on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for an additional fee of $20 per student, per day.

After-care is available daily from 3:00-5:30 pm at a cost of $20 a child per day.
