See Mack the harp seal swim free in drone video

Posted on March 27, 2018

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, the Seacoast Science Center Marine Mammal Rescue Team (MMRT) released Mack the harp seal back into the wild. After four weeks of care at the National Marine Life Center Mack was ready for his swim back to the Arctic. Nearly 1,000 people witnessed the event, held on the same beach from which he was rescued: Hampton Beach State Park in Hampton, NH.

We rely on our community for support to help us stay ready to respond to all calls of any marine mammals that strand on the shore, dead or alive. Please donate today.

If you spot a seal on the beach, dead or alive, keep back and call the 24-hour response hotline: 603-997-9448

To see additional images of Mack, and keep up-to-date with MMRT’s response and rescue work, “like” our Marine Mammal Rescue Facebook page

Special thanks go to Josh Feinberg for providing the drone footage.
