Through rescue and education, we ensure that the coast is a safe and healthy place for humans and seals alike.
The Seacoast Science Center must raise funds to operate the Marine Mammal Rescue program and be equipped to respond to not only a predicted average of cases, but also emergency situations, such as a whale stranding or an unusual marine mammal mortality event. We rely on the support of local businesses and community members to help us meet our operating budget. Please help save the seals!
Here are some examples of how your contribution may be used:
|$5,000||Satellite tag & tracking of 1 seal for advanced research|
|$2,500||Regional Stranding Network Conference attendance for MMR staff|
|$1,000||Transportation to rehab facility for 4 sick or injured animals|
|$500||Necropsy and histopathology for 1 animal|
|$300||Blood panel & triage kit for 10 animals (fluids, medical supplies)|
|$100||Disease surveillance for 10 animals (swab samples)|
|$50||1 field responder kit|
|$25||ID flipper tags for 20 animals|
