Birthday Parties
Hosting your child’s birthday party at Seacoast Science Center is fun, educational, and easy! Kids love exploring our interactive and live animal exhibits, and you will love our spacious party rooms.
- Cost $435 non-members; $375 members
- Length 2 hours (10:30am-12:30pm or 1:30-3:30pm)
- Includes Private party space for up to 30 guests (children and adults)
- Fall/Winter (September-April) Private indoor space available
- Spring/Summer (May-September)Private outdoor space available
- Program Guests may choose one 30-minute naturalist-led program from the options below. All birthday parties also include time to explore Seacoast Science Center.
Program Options
Sharks Alive!
Sharks are one of Earth’s most amazing and dynamic fish. Dive in with our experts to learn more about shark anatomy, behavior, and their acute senses that make them one of the ocean’s greatest predators. Your child will observe the live sharks at our Close Encounters tank.
Turtle Time
Get to know our Box Turtle, Raspberry! Box turtles have a carapace with a hinged bottom, allowing them to draw their body inside and “close the door!” But Raspberry is bright, alert and loves to open his shell and walk around for children to observe.
*NEW: Storytime with Raspberry
Perfect for ages 1-5, or for kiddos who prefer a calmer experience. Storytime with Raspberry includes one of our favorite books read by a naturalist, alongside our resident three-toed box turtle, Raspberry.
Coastal Critters
Meet our rocky shore animals up close and learn about the interesting and sometimes strange adaptations—such as suction cups, claws, and tentacles—they use to capture their prey, move, or defend themselves.
Explore on Your Own
If families would like to book a party without a naturalist-led program, this option allows for additional free exploration time instead.

Schedule your Birthday Party
To schedule your party, click on the inquiry button below, our contact our registrar at registrar@sscnh.org or 603-436-8043, ext. 13. Please note that your party is not booked until you receive confirmation from us.
Cancellation & Booking Policy
A $50 non-refundable security deposit is required to hold your date. Full payment must be made within two weeks of your party date. We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Please note, your party is not officially booked until you receive a booking confirmation from us. If additional information is requested to complete your booking, you have three weeks to respond before the date is released to the next interested party.
If you cancel up to two weeks prior to your date, you will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than two weeks prior or “no shows” will not be refunded. The security deposit is non-refundable for any cancellations, except in cases of severe weather (resulting in Center closure) or medical emergencies.

Join us in going Zero-Waste!
We ask that you consider hosting a zero-waste celebration and choose reusable and compostable party supplies. Please note that balloons and confetti are prohibited due to the danger they pose to marine animals.
In addition, we encourage you to think green and reduce waste wherever possible to help protect our Blue Planet. Some suggestions for an ocean-friendly party include:
- Asking guests to wrap presents in reusable wrapping, or not to wrap them at all.
- Asking for donations to the Seacoast Science Center in lieu of presents. More information about our mission can be found here.
- Having guests bring reusable water bottles instead of handing out disposable drinks.
- Using reusable tablecloths instead of disposable ones, or none at all.
- Purchasing compostable products that are made sustainably such as these.
- Skipping the straw, or using reusable straws, such as those
available for purchase in our Nature Store. - Making party decorations and favors out of recycled materials.
- Using decorations that can be used again and again.
- Avoiding plastic party favors as well as favors that come in a lot of packaging.
- Choosing snacks with less (or no) packaging.
- Purchasing local food items and/or food items that are sustainably sourced. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Palm Oil App is a great resource for checking if products are part of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil, and therefore working to farm sustainably amidst the rainforests.
