About Safari Camp
Seaside Safari Camp is a fun-filled learning adventure that takes advantage of the natural classroom just outside our doors in historic, 135-acre Odiorne Point State Park. The Center’s hands-on exhibits, scientific instruments, and teaching technology of the Gregg Interactive Learning Studio help to reinforce what campers learn outdoors. Lessons, activities, art projects, games, and stories combine for a full day of learning, excitement and fun!

Growing up Between the Tides
From the planktonic stage to adult, rocky shore creatures go through some pretty amazing changes as they grow up along the shore. We’ll take a close look and investigate the life cycle of these creatures, as we explore the stunning tide pools of the park.

Shoreline Science Fun!
Bring your curiosity with you as we head out into the intertidal zone. What do you observe here in this special habitat, and what questions do you have? Come be a shoreline scientist!

Whales, Dolphins, and Seals Oh My!
Explore the fascinating world of marine mammals with us. What traits do they share with us, and how can we help to ensure their long-term survival? Rockin’ Out on the Rocky Shore
This week we will add something new to the mix of intertidal investigations- Geology! Come discover first hand some of the striking rock formations along the NH shoreline, and get hands-on with various rocks we find, such as basalt, granite and schist. We’ll also have plenty of time to spend tide pooling, searching for crabs, lobsters, sea stars, barnacles and more. Rock out.
