Our dedicated counselors ensure a safe, enriching, personalized experience for each camper.
Safety Guidelines and Protocol
Please read our Health and Safety Protocol for Youth Programs Fall 2021-Winter 2022 for a detailed plan of the protocol and procedures followed for all youth programs in consideration of COVID-19. Be aware that there may be updates to our policies to ensure a safe environment as the community health crisis evolves or resolves.
Monday, December 27: Ocean Predators
Join us as we learn about the hunters of the sea, from the largest whale to the smallest snail. We’ll investigate the amazing adaptations sharks and other ocean predators have to catch their prey and get a chance to touch a live chain catshark!
Tuesday, December 28: Winter Wildlife Wonders
Become a wildlife detective as we search Odiorne Point State Park for active animals and their tracks. How do these animals stay warm in the winter? We’ll look for animal homes and make bird feeders to take home with you. Bring your best observational skills for our detective work!
Wednesday, December 29 : Shore Searchin’
How is the winter shore different from a summer shore? We’ll observe the characteristics of our shore as we search for treasures the storms have dragged in and peek under seaweed for signs of rocky shore creatures moving about.
Thursday, December 30: Dolphin Discoveries
Come learn about the amazing adaptations of these intelligent animals. What are the different types of dolphins found in the world’s oceans? A staff member from our Marine Mammal Rescue team will join us to share what they do to help protect and save injured dolphins as well as other mammals that inhabit the Gulf of Maine.
Friday, December 31: Puffins, Penguins and Pelicans
Some birds have a greater connection to the water than they do to the air. We’ll learn some cool facts about these charismatic birds that depend on the ocean for their survival and go on a shoreline search to look for local sea birds, such as cormorants, eiders and more!
