Teacher Workshop: Nature Note Workshop-Supporting Scientific Literacy and Observation

Join us for a FREE, in-depth professional development opportunity focused on Nature Notes, a type of journal submission for students.

The Gulf of Maine Research Institute is gearing up for this year’s issue of Findings from the Field, an online journal of environmental research written and reviewed by middle school students. **Findings from the Field provides students with the chance to observe, ask questions, peer review, and communicate scientific findings with a community of fellow young scientists.** They need your students’ scientific observations to make this eighth edition of the journal possible!

Educators will learn how to support student scientists to publish their findings in a Nature Note in the upcoming edition of Findings from the Field. Students combine background knowledge to enhance observation and communicate their findings in writing, bridging content knowledge to the world around them.

FREE to all educators and mileage reimbursement.

Substitute teacher reimbursement available if needed.

Appropriate for upper elementary through high school educators.
