National Lighthouse Day

National Lighthouse Day is celebrated every year on August 7th. This day marks the founding of the first lighthouse, established by the U.S. federal government, and honors the essential role that lighthouses have played throughout maritime history. Come visit during National Lighthouse Day, spot the four different lighthouses right of our shore, and participate in visitor programs and activities throughout the day with our naturalists to learn more about these iconic beacons!
