Marine Science Fellows–Presentations

Come congratulate our Marine Science Fellows on their work and learn something new!

The Marine Science Fellowship is a semester-long marine science field and research learning opportunity for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. The course provides students with an introduction to marine biology and marine science, hands-on field investigations, scientific inquiry skills and practices, and introduces students to professionals in the marine sciences fields.

During the course, the Fellows develop a research project with the guidance of a mentor, then learn how to create and present a poster of their findings. The session culminates with this event, where SSC’s Fellows present their findings to the public. This is a great opportunity for those interested in the marine sciences, and for students who may be interested in applying as a way to see what the programs is all about.
