History Walk

Join us for a leisurely one-mile walk to explore the origins of Rye, NH in Odiorne Point State park. We’ll start by going back to the 1600s when Europeans first settled what is now New Hampshire. We will walk the area together and touch upon the local Indigenous communities who first inhabited this seacoast region 13,000 years ago, as well as what David Thompson may have encountered in 1623 as the first European settlement of this point.

Visitor Program FREE with admission to SSC. Best suited for ages 12 and up.
