Earth Day Beach Cleanup & Recycle Regatta Program

Celebrate Earth Day with SSC!

We will host an Earth Day Beach Cleanup on Wednesday, 4/22 from 11am-12:30pm. These cleanups are important in every season, as they help protect the coastline and make a positive impact on the environment. Registration for beach cleanup is FREE.

During check out, you’ll have the opportunity to sign up and join the 7th Annual Recycled Regatta at SSC, starting at 12pm! Following our Earth Day Beach Cleanup, have your student (grades K-12) come design a boat out of recycled materials to participate in this year’s program,  hosted by Educational Passages, New England Science & Sailing (NESS) & North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA)! Each child/teen or group will design, construct and test their boats using recycled materials! When they complete their submission, it can be entered online for a chance to become the Recycle Regatta 2026 champion! Learn more at https://educationalpassages.org/recycle-regatta/.

Space is limited and registration is required for the Recycled Regatta. This program is open to students in grades K-12. We’ll also have a fun sink or float activity set up for our preschool friends.

It’s a good idea to reserve online, especially with rain forecasted, as rainy summer days often find us at capacity, particularly in the morning, with walk-ins depending on availability. Book tickets here.
