Fun-filled activities, both indoors and out, support inquiry-based learning and motivate children to make choices to help conserve our Blue Planet. Our dedicated counselors ensure a safe, enriching, personalized experience for each camper.
Thursday, December 26: Journey to the Arctic
Join us as we explore a day in the life on top of the World! We will learn about the animals that live there, the challenges they are facing as Earth warms, and the ways we can help protect them. Bundle up— we’ll take a hike in the park and imagine we are trekking across the frozen landscape of the North Pole!
Friday, December 27: Dive into Ocean Science!
Let’s conduct fun experiments to discover some of the mysteries of our One World Ocean. We’ll mix up salty solutions and blubbery substances, learn about the tools scientists use to study the ocean, and discover why it is so important to ‘dive deep’ and investigate our Blue Planet.
Monday, December 30: Caring for our Creatures
We’ll round up some of our resident creatures and create tabletop tide pools so we can closely observe their anatomy and behaviors. Our aquarist will take us behind the scenes to show us how we care for our animals and we’ll get a close-up look during feeding time.
Tuesday, December 31: 2020 Scavenger Hunt
2020 around is around the corner! Let’s head out into the Park in teams and search for 20 items or signs from nature, such as crab molts, pine cones, and animal tracks. When we return to our ‘science lab,’ teams will present their findings and share their hypotheses of where the objects or signs came from and how they got there.
