About Treks
Whether your little trekker is ready for adventure or is a bit shy, our Treks program eases kids 4-5 years old into our nature-focused camp setting. Children gain confidence through play-based activities and guided exploration that follows their curiosity. Campers develop a new understanding and appreciation of the natural world around them by exploring Odiorne Point State Park, and all the Center has to offer.
Treks Camp is available by the day or by the week, half-days or full-days.

After-care is not available for Treks.
*Please note: There is a 3 percent credit card processing fee that will be added at checkout, for those paying by credit card.
You must have a Family or 6 Star Membership valid through your chosen camps dates to take advantage of the member rate.
Daily Themes
Monday, April 20 and 27 Pollinator Pals
Join us as we learn about the important role insects, such as bees, butterflies, flies and beetles, as well birds and bats, play in the process of pollination. Outdoors, we’ll search for these creatures, busy at work carrying pollen from one flower to the next. We’ll play a fun pollinator tag game, and design a beetiful craft to take home.
Tuesday, April 21 and 28Explore the Spring Shore
As the weather warms, creatures along the shoreline are becoming more active. We’ll search for grazing periwinkle snails, hungry crabs, and other signs of life. Identify different types of colorful seaweed, growing anew in the spring sunlight. If you’re feeling brave, dip your toes in a tide pool!
Wednesday, April 22 and 29Nature's Cleanup Crew
We’ll become ‘dirt detectives’ as we investigate the important role decomposers play recycling nutrients back into the soil. Get a close look at live worms, pill bugs, fungi and more, cleaning up the forest floor. With fun, hands-on activities and games, we’ll get to know these remarkable denizens of decomposition!
Thursday, April 23 and 30Hide and Seek: Ocean Animals Using Camouflage
From matching colors to mimicking shapes, some sea creatures have perfected the art of camouflage so well they blend in superbly with their surroundings. We’ll discover the masterful camouflage of cuttlefish, leafy seadragons, octopi and more! Design your own camo creature, and outdoors, play fun camo games!
Friday, April 24 and May 1Mini-BioBlitz!
Come celebrate the biodiversity of Odiorne Point State Park with us! We’ll head out into different habitats in the park to identify all sorts of living things, from emerging spring plants to bugs, birds and butterflies. We’ll also learn about some of the invasive species that we manage, in order to help our native species thrive. Join the biodiversity adventure!

What to Bring & Other Important Information
Children should always come prepared with layers of warm outdoor clothing and boots. Please label all of your child’s belongings. We go outdoors, rain or shine, but focus on indoor activities during inclement weather. Please pack a peanut/tree nut-free lunch and snacks that do not require refrigeration.

Become a Member
Members of the Center are entitled to reduced camp prices and early summer camp registration. Membership must be active through the date for which you are registering to be eligible for the discount. Click here to learn more about all the great member benefits, and join or renew your membership.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations that are made prior to two weeks before your child’s first day of camp begins will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after that time.
Camp Scholarship Fund
The Center has created a Camp Scholarship Fund to offer financial assistance to those otherwise unable to attend. We encourage your support of this fund; please donate now.
