Stewards Summer Camp
Registration opens for all at 9am on January 11, 2026.

- Weekly Cost: $475 members, $525 non-members
- Daily Cost: $95 members, $105 non-members
Pre-care and after-care NOT available for Stewards.

For current members, you must have a 6-Star Membership (or higher) valid through your chosen camp dates to take advantage of the member rate. For memberships purchased after 12/31/25, a valid Family Membership (or higher) is required; see membership page for updates.

About Stewards
Stewards spend the day immersed in nature, learning about complex ecosystems, as well as how humans interact with and impact them. The goal of this program is to teach campers how to become responsible stewards of the natural environment through hands-on learning, interesting projects and engaging, productive outdoor activities.
The exact times of field trips varies, and will be communicated by email well in advance. Transportation for most trips provided, with some exceptions. Whale Watches are an 8:00 am drop off and 1:00 pm pick up at Rye Harbor, NH. During kayak week pick up and drop off will be at Odiorne Point State Park Boat Launch, Rye, NH.

Thursday, June 25: Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, and Joppa Flats Audubon Center Program, Plum Island, MA
Friday, June 26: Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, Wells, ME
SESSION B, by the week Coastal Habitats of Odiorne Point State Park
- Date: July 6-10, 2026
Let’s set out and explore in Odiorne Point State Park. We’ll investigate and compare the different habitats found in the our seaside park, including the rocky shore, sandy beach, and salt marsh. During our explorations we’ll participate in ongoing community science efforts, learning about invasive green crab and rockweed research. Campers will also have the opportunity to go seine netting at Frost Point to learn about sea critters that live in the shallow waters, uncovering a hidden world of marine life!
SESSION C: by the day or week Coastal Kayaking
- Dates: July 13-17, 2026
Come paddle NH’s coastal waters with us as we investigate the flora and fauna in and around our estuarine waters. Monday and Tuesday are suitable for new or less experienced paddlers, while Wednesday through Friday will be geared for campers with more kayaking experience. All equipment will be provided.

SESSION E: by the week Eco-Sport Week
- Date: August 3-7, 2026
This week, we will combine ecological beach explorations with water sport activities and stewardship initiatives along our beaches in Rye, NH. In collaboration with the Surfrider Foundation, we will engage in beach clean-ups and gain insights into their work on water quality testing and dune restoration. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sport and recreational activities, including surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, and tide pooling. All necessary equipment and lessons will be provided.

You will receive a confirmation email for your registration. Medical Health forms are now to be filled out and saved in your personal CampBrain (our new camp registration software) account. What to Bring & Other Important Information
Children should always come prepared with layers of warm outdoor clothing and boots. Please label all of your child’s belongings. We go outdoors, rain or shine, but focus on indoor activities during inclement weather. Please pack a peanut/tree nut-free lunch and snacks that do not require refrigeration.

Become a Member

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations that are made prior to two weeks before your child’s first day of camp begins will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after that time.
Camp Scholarship Fund
The Center has created a Camp Scholarship Fund to offer financial assistance to those otherwise unable to attend. We encourage your support of this fund; please donate now.
