Marine Biology Camp for High School Students

*Please note: There is a 3 percent credit card processing fee that will be added at checkout, for those paying by credit card.

For current members, you must have a 6-Star Membership (or higher) valid through your chosen camp dates to take advantage of the member rate. For memberships purchased after 12/31/25, a valid Family Membership (or higher) is required; see membership page for updates.

Session A and B will be the same itinerary.

About Marine Biology Camp

This marine biology camp is designed for science-minded high school students who are interested in pursuing studies in marine biology or a related science field. Students spend the week engaged in in-depth, hands-on lessons that give them practical experience and insight into marine science careers. Limited to 12 students. All gear is provided.

This intensive, hands-on program will explore local marine life and our local waters through:

Data collection and identification of fish off-shore
In-depth focus on crustaceans and echinoderms
Water quality testing
Scientific ocean research on plastics in the ocean
Scientific tide pool research
Exploration activities, such as kayaking or snorkeling
Field Trip to UNH Marine Lab or Gulf of Maine Boat Trip

Detailed itinerary will be emailed a week before each session.

If you registered for camp via CampBrain in the past, your email address will be recognized. New users will be prompted to set up a new account. Please be aware that CampBrain requires that you create a personal account within it that is separate from your membership account.

Confirmation, Medical Health Forms, Camper Guidelines, and other required forms

You will receive a confirmation email for your registration. Medical Health forms are now to be filled out and saved in your personal CampBrain (our new camp registration software) account. Become a Member

Seacoast Science Center members are entitled to reduced camp prices and early summer camp registration. Membership must be active through the date for which you are registering to be eligible for the discount. Click here to learn more about all the great member benefits, and join or renew today.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations that are made prior to two weeks before your child’s first day of camp begins will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after that time.

Camp Scholarship Fund

The Center has created a Camp Scholarship Fund to offer financial assistance to those otherwise unable to attend. We encourage your support of this fund; please donate now.
