On Friday, November 24, 2018, the federal government issued its Fourth National Climate Assessment, Volumes I and II. This comprehensive report assesses the current state of the science of climate change, as mandated by the Global Change Research Act of 1990. Volume 1: Climate Science Special Report is a detailed report of the state of science relating to climate change. Volume II covers the impacts, risks and adaptation of climate change in the U.S.
