National Climate Assessment Report

Posted on November 30, 2018

On Friday, November 24, 2018, the federal government issued its Fourth National Climate Assessment, Volumes I and II. This comprehensive report assesses the current state of the science of climate change, as mandated by the Global Change Research Act of 1990. Volume 1: Climate Science Special Report is a detailed report of the state of science relating to climate change. Volume II covers the impacts, risks and adaptation of climate change in the U.S.

As an organization focused on inspiring conservation of our blue planet, Seacoast Science Center knows the results and conclusions presented in these reports are very important. We are offering the following downloads of specific chapter summaries that contain key findings relevant to the ocean environment and to the Northeast.
