Integrated Arts and Marine Science Outreach Programs

The Seacoast Science Center's integrated outreach programming helps students create an emotional connection to our coastal and ocean environment by infusing marine science with art and creative writing. By these means, students' learning is inspired and enriched in ways that are personally meaningful to them. The program begins with a Seacoast Science Center naturalist presenting a lesson in your classroom on a marine topic of your choice. Classroom teachers then receive resources to aid with their teaching and students' exploration and learning. The program culminates with an Art Exhibition at the Seacoast Science Center, featuring the students' art and creative writing. Students and their family and friends are invited to attend an opening gala, which kicks off the exhibition.
