Programs for Early Learners - Infants to 5

There is so much to discover! Our Early Learning Programs are the perfect fit for your little ones' curiosity about the world around them. Our drop-in programs make it easy for you and your child to participate. Just show up; registration is not required. Our introductory camp program, Treks 4 Tots, is offered during regional school vacation weeks and all summer long. We also offer a wide range of school and group programs onsite, or we can come to you.

Drop-in Programs

Ocean Commotion (for ages 1-5)

Start your week by moving and grooving! Ocean Commotion is an active, indoor program that meets Monday mornings, 9:00-10:00 a.m. Ocean Commotion teaches about nature through movement, music, stories and games. Cost: $5 for member children; $8 non-member children; no cost for adults.

Big Fish Little Fish (for ages 3½-5)

Our Big Fish Little Fish program encourages children and a favorite adult to learn about the world around them through guided outdoor exploration. Big Fish Little Fish meets Tuesday mornings 10:00-11:15 a.m. and Wednesday afternoons 1:00-2:15 p.m. throughout the year. Cost: $8 for member children; $10 non-member children; no cost for adults.

Environmental Day Camps

Treks 4 Tots, the Center's day camp for children 3 ½ to 5 years old, is offered during regional public and private school vacation weeks and all summer long. Sessions feature a low naturalist-child ratio, and are available by the day or by the week. Each session has a different theme that includes outdoor exploration, takes advantage of the season and is full of hands-on activities. All children gain skills that positively impact their well-being and development. Trekkers have a separate learning area.
