World Ocean Day Family Festival

Join us for a day of fun and educational activities that celebrate the important role the world ocean plays in our lives, and learn ways you can help protect it.

Date: Sunday, June 9, 2019

Time: 10am–2pm

World Ocean Day is a global celebration and collaboration for a healthier future for our ocean. Our health and our ocean’s health are connected. Over half of the oxygen we breathe is produced in the ocean, and the ocean is the heart of our planet, circulating heat and water and regulating our climate. Together, we can make a difference and keep our ocean healthy for future generations. Join us in honoring our ocean and do something to protect it!

10:00 am  Family March for the Ocean
This weekend, citizens across our national will Wear Blue and March for our Ocean to help turn the tide and restore and protect our one World Ocean. Show your support and help us raise awareness of how critically important ocean health is for us, for future generations, and for our planet during our Family March for the Ocean. Or, better yet, don your best ocean costume, create signs, and decorate your strollers at our March for the Ocean activity table and join our Family March for the Ocean. Because of the threat balloons present to marine animals, they are not allowed.

10am-2pm Beach Cleanup
Join the Blue Ocean Society and do your part to help make our ocean a healthier and cleaner place! You’ll learn about the dangers marine debris pose to wildlife and humans.

10:30am-1:30pm  Inside Ladder the Life-size Inflatable Whale
