The Smog of the Sea chronicles a 1-week journey through the remote waters of the Sargasso Sea to assess the fate of plastics in the worlds oceans. Join marine scientist Marcus Eriksen and a crew comprised of renowned surfers Keith & Dan Malloy, musician Jack Johnson, spearfisher woman Kimi Werner, and bodysurfer Mark Cunningham on a voyage of discovery. A discussion panel will follow the screening to draw attention to the impact of plastic pollution in our oceans and the effects of climate change on ocean ecology.
