Windows on Nature
Saturday, November 21, 2009
8:30 am - 12:00 pm
The program takes place every third Saturday of the month. Parents can do their morning shopping or walk the trails while their children are at the Seacoast Science Center having fun exploring nature. Children will explore the world of nature by getting right out in it.
We will learn about butterflies, hike to the salt marsh, and do some beachcombing in Pirate's Cove. The morning programs will include mini lessons, field trips to the upland forest, crafts and to end the morning, a game or story. All programs will be outdoors if the weather permits. Program runs rain or shine.
Children must come dressed for the weather and bring a snack that needs no refrigeration. Older children may attend the program but must register to participate but children under 4 are not allowed to attend.
The cost is $25 per session for members; $30 non-members.
Parents can drop off children at 8:30 a.m. and pick them up at 12 noon. There will be a $10.00 per minute charge for any child not picked up by 12:10 p.m. Parents can sign up for one or all programs.
