The Seacoast Science Center's Seaside Safari and Trek 4 Tots summer environmental day camp keeps the excitement level high for kids with learning fun that gets them back to nature. With 135 acres and a wide range of habitats to explore in Odiorne Point State Park, and the Center's interactive exhibits to engage children and reinforce learning, campers gain a better understanding of the natural world around them. Lessons, activities, crafts and games combine for a unique learning adventure.

Treks 4 Tots is an introductory camp experience that encourages preschoolers (ages 4-5) to develop their inquisitive minds while connecting them with nature. Treks summer sessions meet for three mornings or afternoons per week, Wednesday through Friday. Trekkers comb the sandy beach, learn about pirates and become treasure hunters, hike the woodlands, build fairy houses, and more

Safari camp is for children in grades K-8 and is offered by the day during the first and last session, or by the week. Campers can learn how animals survive in the wild, tide pool at the rocky shore, create art in nature, learn about lighthouses, local legends, pirates and more.

Safari's Stewards (grades 6-8) engage in activities that teach how to become responsible stewards of the environment. Stewards can design their own experiments, plan projects, learn about live animal care, and more. Eco-adventure field trips bring them hiking, kayaking, and whale watching.

Each camp session is based around a different theme. Space is limited and the most popular sessions fill quickly. For a complete schedule and a registration form, please click on the link below. For more information call the Seacoast Science Center at 603-436-8043.
